The equity held by Capital Airports Holdings Limited changed from 100% to 31.48%.

On December 28, 2018, the annual passenger throughput of Beijing Capital International Airport exceeded 100 million, making it the first airport in China with an annual passenger throughput exceeding 100 million, and the second airport in the world with an annual passenger throughput exceeding 100 million after Atlanta International Airport in the United States.

On September 25, 2019, Beijing Daxing International Airport was officially put into operation. Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, attended the operation ceremony and announced the official opening of the airport.

Premier Li Keqiang inspected Beijing Capital International Airport. The Premier stressed that the Capital Airport is the "gate" of China, where effective measures should be taken to prevent and control the epidemic. He added that health tests should be conducted in accordance with different conditions to guarantee a safe and orderly flow of personnel and that efforts should be made to prevent and control the novel coronavirus outbreak among travelers entering and exiting the country.

The group company, officially obtaining the business license of Capital Airports Holdings Limited, was formally changed into a sole legal person company. On July 27, the founding (restructuring) conference of Capital Airports Holdings Limited was held in Beijing.
