Zhalantun Genghis Khan Airport (IATA: NZL, ICAO: ZBZL), located in Zhalantun City, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is 14 kilometers away from Zhalantun City, with a 4C airfield area, a runway length of 2,500 meters and a width of 45 meters, which can meet the take-off and landing requirements of B737 series and A320 series aircraft. The terminal covers an area of 8,400 square meters, with five parking spaces for air freighters, of which four are Class C stands and one is Class B stands. On December 28, 2016, Zhalantun Genghis Khan Airport was officially opened. In October 2018, a general apron of 55,146 square meters and two general taxiways were newly built, with the addition of 27 general stands. On December 12, 2018, the Civil Aviation University of China Inner Mongolia Flying College officially settled in for the operation. Zhalantun Airport has become the first regional airport in China to provide Performance-Based Navigation (PBN) training.
