Arxan Yi’ershi Airport is located in Yi’ershi Town, Arxan City, Xing'an League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, 16.5 kilometers away from the center of Arxan in the south and 22.5 kilometers away from Mongolia in the west. It is a 4C-class civil regional airport. On January 8, 2012, Arxan Airport was officially opened, which is the 12th regional airport built and operated in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the second civil transport airport in the Hinggan League, and the first county-level city airport. The airport terminal covers an area of 5,900 square meters, the runway is 2,400 meters long and 45 meters wide, and the airfield area is 4C, which can be used for B737-800 and smaller models of aircraft to take off and land. The design target can meet the annual throughput of 290,000 passengers, cargo and mail throughput of 1,782 tons, and aircraft take-off and landing of 3,867 sorties. The operation of Arxan Airport fills the gap in the land transportation network in Arxan City and sets up an "air golden bridge" for communication between Arxan and the outside world, which greatly improves the travel conditions of the people and provides strong support for the development of tourism in Arxan.
