Jiamusi Dongjiao International Airport, eight kilometers away from the center of Jiamusi, was built in 1958. After many expansions, it has a 4C airspace area to satisfy the take-off and landing needs of the Boeing 737 series and Airbus 320 series of the same kind and below.

Since its opening, it has opened domestic routes to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Shenzhen, Jinan, Dalian, Shenyang, Zhuhai, Hangzhou, Yantai, and Nanjing, and international routes to Incheon, South Korea and Khabarovsk, Russia.
