Qinhuangdao Beidaihe Airport was officially opened on March 31, 2016. Its airspace area is Class 4C, and its runway is 2600 meters long and 60 meters wide (including the runway shoulder). The terminal building has a total construction area of 10,600 square meters. After the new apron was opened in July 2017, it has seven Class C aprons and one Class B apron. The designed annual passenger capacity is 500,000 and the cargo and mail capacity is 1,200 tons. At present, Qinhuangdao Airport operates four routes in five cities.

Qinhuangdao Airport actively implements the CAAC’s general working idea to move forward parallelly in two aspects and vigorously expands general aviation. At present, Qinhuangdao Airport has carried out airport resident cooperation with ZYB Lily Jet and Beijing Hanyu Business Aviation Co., Ltd., ensuring more than 10 international business flights such as direct flights to Alaska in the United States, Moscow in Russia, Tokyo in Japan and Bangkok in Thailand, and actively building the brand of "Training Manager" to provide exclusive services for flight training.
