Baicheng Chang'an Airport is a domestic regional airport built during the 11th Five-Year Plan and 12th Five-Year Plan periods. Located in Taohe Town, Taobei District, Baicheng City, Jilin Province, it is 20 kilometers away from the urban area and covers an area of 138.38 hectares. The annual designed target is 203,000 passengers in 2020. According to the approval of the State Council and the Central Military Commission, Baicheng Airport will be built as a civilian airport and will be shared by the military and civilians after completion.

Construction began in 2006, the project was completed in December 2016, the airport open-use license was obtained on March 27, 2017, and it was officially opened on March 31, 2017. It can be used for A319-320, B737-800 series aircraft and BAE146, ERJ190, Dornier 328, NSW 60, and other C-class aircraft to take off and land.

At present, Baicheng-Beijing (Daxing) is opened, and China United Airlines flies every Monday to Sunday. Baicheng-Dalian (Zhoushuizi), which is operated by Huaxia Airlines every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday (the airline company is currently suspended); Baicheng-Tianjin (Binhai), which is operated by Huaxia Airlines every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The Baicheng-Dalian-Qingdao route is operated by Shandong Airlines every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. It is planned to open the Baicheng-Shijiazhuang-Shanghai route on August 21, 2022. From March 2017 to December 2021, a total of 4,765 flights were supported, with a throughput of 352,392 passengers, a peak hour throughput of 422 passengers, and a cargo and mail throughput of 4.8 tons. In October 2018, it passed the acceptance for Safe Civil Aviation Construction, in May 2020, it passed the acceptance of unified and standardized management of aprons, and in June 2020, it was commended by the Baicheng Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government as an advanced anti-epidemic unit.

Baicheng Chang'an Airport always keeps in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on civil aviation work. With the fundamental purpose of "serving the national strategy, the local economic development, the vast number of passengers and airlines" and taking the construction of a "Safe Airport, Green Airport, Smart Airport, and Humanistic Airport" as the development direction, it will fully implement the “4-1-4-5-1” overall development plan of Jilin Civil Aviation Airport Group, and strive to build Baicheng Airport into a regional airport that will save the Group free from worry, reassure the government and satisfy the people.
