Jiujiang Lushan Airport is located at the foot of Lushan Mountain, a world natural and cultural heritage site and a cultural holy mountain. Jiujiang Lushan Airport was suspended for reconstruction in March 2015 due to the runway concrete paving. In January 2021, it obtained the civil airport use license again, and it is expected to resume operation in 2021. Terminals of Jiujiang Lushan Airport cover an area of 11,815 square meters, and there are three Class C remote stands in the civil aviation apron. The runway is 2,800 meters long and 50 meters wide, which can handle an annual throughput of 500,000 passengers.
