Beijing Capital International Airport Co., Ltd. ("Capital Airport Co., Ltd.") was established on October 15, 1999. On February 1, 2000, it was successfully listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. On May 18, 2001, it was approved by the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade as a limited company with foreign investment. As the management organization of Capital Airport, Capital Airport Co., Ltd. mainly operates the aviation business and manages the non-aviation business in the Capital Airport. The passenger throughput of Capital Airport once again exceeded 100 million, ranking second in the world for 10 consecutive years.

By the end of 2021, there were 85 resident airlines in Capital Airport, including 59 foreign airlines and 26 domestic and regional airlines, which operated to 208 destinations in 54 countries and regions, including 133 domestic destinations (including 3 regional destinations) and 75 international destinations.
